1. Who is responsible for your data
Tamtego is the data controller. If you have a question about privacy, account security, or your data rights, write to contact@tamtego.io.
2. Data you provide
We process data needed to run your account and the community: phone number, profile name, bio, photos, languages, interests, privacy settings, activity content, reports, and messages sent in the app.
3. Location and the map
Location data helps us show nearby activities, set meeting places, and power the map. Precise device location depends on your system permissions. Activity places you set yourself may be visible to people who are allowed to see that activity.
4. Activities, profile, and communication
We process information about activities, invitations, join requests, participation, reactions, comments, chats, and social relationships so we can support meetups, notifications, profile history, and protection from abuse.
5. Photos and content safety
Profile photos, activity photos, chat images, and other media may be reviewed automatically or manually to detect spam, scams, sexual content, violence, and rule violations. We do not use private photos to train third-party AI models.
6. Technical data
We collect technical data needed for service operation and security, such as device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, IP address, error logs, performance diagnostics, and push notification tokens.
7. Why we process data
We use data for sign-in, account operation, profiles and activities, notifications, chat, search personalization, report handling, product analytics, fraud prevention, and enforcement of the Terms and Community Guidelines. Product analytics is optional, starts only after consent, and does not include private messages, comments, or post text.
8. Legal bases
We process data when it is needed to provide the service, when we have a legitimate interest in safety and product improvement, when the law requires it, or when you give consent, such as for location access, notifications, or product analytics. You can change analytics consent in settings.
9. Service providers
We use external providers for hosting, databases, phone verification, maps and places, email, push notifications, analytics, realtime features, file storage, and moderation. They receive only the data needed to perform the specific service.
10. What other users can see
Other users may see information you publish or share in the app: your profile, photo, selected activities, posts, comments, reactions, participation status, and messages in conversations they belong to. We do not sell personal data or share it for external behavioral advertising.
11. Data retention
We keep data for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain safety, handle accounting, process reports, comply with law, or defend claims. After that, we delete, anonymize, or restrict further processing.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You can send requests to contact@tamtego.io.
13. Younger users
Tamtego is not designed to collect children's data without required consent. If the law requires guardian consent or additional safeguards, we may limit selected features or request confirmation.
14. Security and data transfers
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect data from unauthorized access, loss, and misuse. Data may be processed outside your country when we use international providers, with the legal safeguards required for those transfers.
