1. Introduction
Tamtego is an app and website for discovering, creating, and joining activities. These Terms explain how you may use your account, the map, feed, chat, profiles, invitations, and other Tamtego features. By using the service, you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Community Guidelines.
2. Who may use Tamtego
Tamtego may be used by people who may legally use the service on their own or with any required guardian consent and who have not previously been removed from the service without our permission to return. You may have only one account, and the information you provide must be truthful and must not mislead other users.
3. Account and security
Your account may require phone verification, a one-time code, or another safety check. You are responsible for your device, session, and activity performed through your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us and update your security settings in the app.
4. Permitted use
Tamtego is for genuine activity planning and communication around those plans. You may not use the service for harassment, spam, scams, mass outreach, romantic pressure, impersonation, illegal activity, or anything that violates another person's rights.
5. Activities and offline meetups
Hosts are responsible for clear descriptions, accurate times and places, participant limits, and joining rules. Participants join and meet at their own discretion and risk. Tamtego provides tools for organizing activities, but it is not the event organizer, a party to any transaction, or a guarantor of user conduct.
6. Chat and communication
Chat is for discussing activities, plans, and user-to-user contact. Do not share another person's private data, send sexual content without consent, pressure people to move the conversation off Tamtego, or request money or financial details through the app.
7. User content
You keep your rights in the content you add, but you grant Tamtego a non-exclusive license needed to host, display, process, moderate, technically translate, and make that content available as part of the app. By posting content, you confirm that you have the rights to it and that it does not break the law or Tamtego rules.
8. Prohibited content and conduct
Prohibited content and conduct include violence, threats, hate, discrimination, sexual exploitation, harm involving minors, fraud, malware, phishing, spam, illegal trade, intellectual property violations, automated data collection, bypassing security controls, and anything that may create a real safety risk for other users.
9. Moderation
We may use technical signals, user reports, automated safety systems, and human review. Depending on the situation, we may hide content, limit features, remove an activity, block an account, hold publication, or refer a matter to the appropriate authorities where the law requires it.
10. Privacy, location, and notifications
The Privacy Policy explains how we process data. Map, invite, activity, chat, and notification features may require location data, photos, device permissions, or push tokens. You can manage some permissions in the app settings and your device settings.
11. Third-party services
Tamtego may rely on providers for hosting, databases, maps and places, email, notifications, analytics, realtime features, payments, safety, or moderation. Using the app through the App Store or Google Play may also be subject to those platforms' additional terms.
12. Payments and premium features
If we offer paid features, purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds may be handled by the App Store, Google Play, or another payment provider we identify. Deleting your account may not cancel a store subscription, so subscriptions should also be cancelled through the payment provider.
13. Account deletion
You may stop using Tamtego and delete your account in the app settings or by contacting us. After deletion, some data may be retained for a limited time where needed for safety, accounting, legal compliance, dispute defense, or as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Tamtego intellectual property
The app, interface, logo, trademarks, layout, code, graphics, and Tamtego materials belong to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the service under these Terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, or commercially exploit the service without our permission.
15. Availability and liability
Tamtego is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy of content, availability of every feature, or the safety of meetings with other users. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited except for liability that cannot be excluded under applicable rules.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the product, law, safety requirements, or community operations change. Material changes will be posted on the website, in the app, or through another reasonable channel. If you do not accept the changes, stop using Tamtego.
17. Disputes and governing rules
We will first try to resolve disputes through direct contact and without formal proceedings. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived in your country of residence. For matters not covered here, the applicable rules are those relevant to the user relationship and mandatory consumer protection law.
